The Reggiano Apennines are home to some of the most fascinating medieval castles, connected to the figure of Matilda of Canossa. Majestic fortifications, stunning views, and millennia-old stories that are still alive today. Perfect for those who love history, architecture, and atmospheres from another time.
The listed castles are arranged in order of distance from the Terre Matildiche di Canossa highway exit on the road to our B&B: a great opportunity to visit some of them before arriving, considering that check-in is available from 6:00 PM.
